We all face those frustrations, trials, tribulations, and moments of anxiety. Sometimes we feel our problems have no end. There seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel, no dawn at the end of the night, and no joy at the end of sadness. The psalmist expressed this when he cried in Psalm 13:1-2, “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? forever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me? (2) How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?”

But you need to keep reading. By verses 5-6 the psalmist wrote “But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. (6) I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.”

In Christ, all our problems are TEMPORARY; all our blessings are ETERNAL. Don’t give up. As some said, “O my soul, what need it trouble thee to have heaviness in the evening, so long as thou art sure to have joy in the morning.”

So, in light of the above truth, “You Say…. But God says…

1. You say, “It’s impossible.” But God says in Luke 18:27, “…The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

2. You say, “I’m exhausted.” But God says in Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

3. You say, “Nobody loves me.” But God says in Jeremiah 31:3, “…Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love…”

4. You say, “I can’t go on.” But God says in II Corinthians 12:9, “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

5. You say, “I don’t know what to do.” But God says in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

6. You say, “I can’t do it.” But God says in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

7. You say, “It’s not worth it.” But God says in Galatians 6:9, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

8. You say, “I can’t forgive myself.” But God says in Ephesians 4:32, “… forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”

9. You say, “I can’t make ends meet.” But God says in Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

10. You say, “I’m afraid.” But God says in II Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

11. You say, “I can’t handle this.” But God says in Psalm 55:22, “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee…”

12. You say, “I’m not smart enough.” But God says in I Corinthians 1:30, “ But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption…”

13. You say, “I’m all alone.” But God says in Hebrews 13:5, “for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
